Here are some of the symptoms that you should observe to determine if stress is already beginning to make you sick.

1. Your weight begins to fluctuate. 

Stress can change your metabolism and it affects your body’s ability to process blood sugar. 

Therefore, if you notice that you are gaining or losing weight inexplicably or without you doing it in purpose, then it could be because of too much stress. It is also because of this reason why you are having the tendency to overeat or undereat.

2. You start having falling hair. 

When you lose a few strands of hair, that is just perfectly normal.

But when you see that you are losing a lot of your hair especially when you brush or comb, it could be because of stress. Stress can make your immune system impact your hair follicles, thus the hair loss.

3. You get a lot of headaches.

Sudden headaches are another indication of too much stress.

If you are not the type of person who suffers from headaches before and you suddenly get a lot of it right now, then it must be because of stress. Stress causes some chemical changes in your nerves and blood vessels in your brain and if you have an existing migraine, stress only makes it worse.

4. You get upset stomach. 

If you think that stress cannot affect your digestive system, it can. It can make your body produce more acid which can, later on, lead to heartburn. It can even cause you diarrhea.

While it is difficult to avoid stress every day, there are ways to make sure that it does not affect you, especially your health. Make sure to find time to de-stress and take care your health better.
