Once a kasambahay but now the boss of her own company, an inspiring woman shares her story on Rated K. This impressed a lot of people who were amazed at how she went from kasambahay to multi-millionaire!

Born to a poor family with 11 children in Dasol, Pangasinan, Rebecca Bustamante would miss a lot of days from school because she has to wake up early to sell fish, bread, or other food items. She knew that she has to help her family, even if she’s among the younger kids.

But living a poor life did not break her spirit; even when they lost their mother because she got sick and they can’t even afford to buy her medicine. As they bid goodbye to their mother, Rebecca vowed to find a good job to help her siblings – and that’s exactly what she did.

At first, she worked as janitress at a local bank but would soon find a job as domestic helper in Singapore. There, she was able to find a good boss who allowed her to also earn an education. While she’s a full-time domestic helper, she was able to juggle time for her studies at an open university.

The teacher saw potential in Rebecca. He helped her with her studies, giving her encouragement. This teacher even told her that she would become a millionaire someday because of her attitude and brilliance – and that actually came true!

Rebecca would later find a job in Canada, working as nanny. But she didn’t stop dreaming; instead, she studied Accounting and Marketing at Ryerson University in Toronto. She graduated from these courses and in just 2 years, she was able to obtain an open permit.

From domestic helper to nanny, Rebecca would soon become the owner of a Nanny Recruitment Agency. As her business grew, she met a lot of people – and that’s when she met Richard Mills who would become her husband.

Now a multi-millionaire, Rebecca owns not just one but several houses in the Philippines! She was also able to help her siblings as she promised their late mom.
