Angel Locsin was recently hailed a real-life angel by netizens after she bought a ‘truckload’ of relief foods and personally distributed the items at the areas hit by the series of earthquakes in Mindanao.
Dressed in jeans, a simple t-shirt, and a cap, the actress went to NCCC Main Magsaysay, a mall in Davao City, to buy boxes of canned goods, instant noodles, sacks of rice, and lots of large bottled water.

The young star was accompanied by fiancé Neil Arce as they shopped for the relief goods. But the actress did not just donate for the people affected by the earthquake, she also went there to personally deliver the “truckload” of relief goods she bought from the supermarket!

Richard Gordon, Philippine Red Cross (PRC) chairman and chief executive officer, praised the actress but also revealed that she has actually been regularly helping the Red Cross since 2009, when she donated and also personally distributed relief goods to the people displaced by Typhoon Ondoy.

“ANGEL INDEED. Ms. Angel Locsin, together with her fiance, Neil Arce, personally went to our Davao del Sur Chapter to donate and volunteer in the distribution of relief goods and hygiene kits for the quake-hit families,” Gordon wrote in a post.

Just like Gordon, a lot of netizens were also impressed by Angel’s kindness to the quake-hit people. She didn’t even have to do it – and she’s not a politician who is obliged to do this out of duty. Yet the young star proved that real angels exist on Earth.
