Creating a blog actually, doesn’t require you to be one or at least doesn’t necessarily require you to be a good writer, say whaat? Yes, that’s right you don’t need to write fluently or be perfect in English grammar to be a blogger.

But let’s hold our horses and we’ll show you an easy peasy guide on how to start your own blog the easy way:

1. Choose your Topic and Niche.

This is the foundation of your blog, you need to think of a topic you want to blog about. You can choose a topic that interests you a lot like your hobbies or chooses a topic you think people will be interested in viewing.

There are folks out there who used their blog as personal virtual journals, and there are others who would create a blog that focuses on serious topics.

Examples of blog topics: Mommy blogs, Financial blogs, Food blogs, Travel blogs, Health related blogs, How to blogs – there’s so much more you can blog about!

2. Choose a Platform.

Now you need a place where you can start blogging. If you are unsure what to use, do your research on what platform is user-friendly (especially if you’re not that techy).

Examples of platforms you can use are Wordpress, Bloglovin, Blogspot and so much more.

3. Decide whether you’ll get your own host/domain name.

Here’s the tricky and pricey part, you have to decide if you’ll get your own domain name and literally and legally own your blog.

The downside with free blogs is that the host can delete your blog anytime and they have the legal right to do that.

So if you want to have your own domain name like thisismyblog.com instead of thisismyblog.wordpress.com, then be ready to shell out a budget for this, getting your own host/domain can be pricey, but it’s worth the purchase.

4. Design your blog.

Whether you decide to go free blogging or getting your own domain name, the fun part starts here – designing it! Make sure you design your blog in an alignment of what your blog is about so it looks appealing and impressive to viewers.

5. Start writing.

Start writing articles about your topic, my advice is to create a schedule on when you are going to post articles so there is consistency with your blog’s activity.

But if you’re not confident with your writing skills, no need to worry, you can hire a writer, who can do the job for you, of course, you need to have a budget for this as well.

If this is your first time, do not fret! Everyone in the blogging industry also started in square one. Just make sure you find the right niche and topic and you should be good to go. Best of luck and enjoy blogging!
