Alert! PHIVOLCS Saying That The "Big One" Will Happen Is Hoax

Recently articles about the "BIG ONE" has been circulating throughout the internet, especially on Facebook, this has heightened the netizens concern of safety, therefore, it has been shared thousands of times on Facebook. 
The said news highlights that according to PHIVOLCS (Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology) the Big Earthquake we’ve been dreading to happen here in the Philippines is bound to start between February 4, 2017 – March 8, 2017.

According to the said article PHIVOLCS has been closely monitoring the possibility of the said earthquake on the mentioned dates and an expected 7.2 magnitude earthquake is bound to happen.

The article was very specific as well with the San Miguel fault line being highly affected and an approximately 31,000 casualties are predicted.

The hoax news also mentioned a 32 feet tsunami will also emerge after the said big earthquake. This said article has raised tremendous concern to netizens.

However, PHIVOLCS recently released a statement that this news of THE BIG ONE being predicted on specific dates is definitely a HOAX, they also stated that at the moment there is no technology to predict when and where an earthquake will emerge.

Nevertheless, PHIVOLCS reminded everyone to be very keen with safety and prepare if in case the said devastating event happens.

PHIVOLCS highly discouraged the netizens to share the Hoax news as it may arouse unnecessary worry to family and friends.
